Description:

Conversion of existing office building into 30 student accommodation studio flats at 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors and retention of existing ground floor retail unit.

 


AS Studio produced a planning package for the conversion of existing office building into 30 student accommodation studio flats to include the installation of new windows and all associated structural, internal and external alteration works. 

 


The planning process was in conjunction with JB Planning who were acting as planning consultants on the project. 

 

 

Planning for the above scheme was granted in 2012.
Following the conditional approval, AS Studio provided details for successful discharge of all planning conditions to allow commencement of the works on site. Full tender package of drawings was also produced for this project.

 


A further drawings package for a prior approval scheme for the change of use of parts of the basement and ground floor and of upper floors (first, second and third floors) from Office (Use Class B1(a)) to 27 residential units (Use Class C3) was produced by AS Studio in conjunction with JB Planning in 2015. 

 

 

For budget purposes, the construction of the project was awarded to a design & build contractor without the further involvement of AS Studio.
